American McGee has surprised me once again and made me love it even more.
Thank my physics class for this one!
We are learning about light and colors and were discussing how bugs can see ultraviolet waves. What surprised me was when my teacher said said that, with bees and butterflies, they can see patters on the petals on flowers that are basically arrows pointing the way to where the pollen is!
Now isn’t it interesting to know that, while in Shrink Sense, everything around you is tinted violet, and there are signs that give hints and point the way of where to go that can ONLY be seen while in Shrink Sense?
And what dress has Shrink Sense always enabled, regardless of Alice’s size?
American McGee, stop. My heart, I don’t know how much more it can take right now.
Many Alice fans would know the story of the Duchess and her ugly, screaming child, whom she beat every time he sneezed, thinking he was doing it for fun when it was caused by the huge amount of pepper being put into her food by the chef. When Alice arrives, the Duchess gives her the baby and, once outside the house, the baby suddenly turns into a piglet. Alice then quotes that he would have “made a dreadfully ugly child; but it makes rather a handsome pig.”
Turns out, she was right.
In American McGee’s Alice, though he doesn’t make a physical apperance, a portrait can be seen when Alice is in the Duchess’ domain. He seems to have reached a large amount of wealth and, indeed, turned out to be a successful, handsome pig. Congrats, dude. Congrats.
However, even though he is living well and prosperous, I doubt he’d be welcomed back into his mother’s home.
In the sequel, she went on a strict diet of heavily peppered pork.
“Everything’s better with bacon, don’t you agree? Of course you do.”
your url is excellent. & thank you! ♥
